After 2 days of resting in Auckland we continued our road trip again...visited the Hobbiton Movie Set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogy...It was a fascinating two-hour guided tour.
2 hours of driving again~
That's the information centre behind me...
drove another 20 mins to the Hobbition Movie Set...
Forgot how much we paid for the entrance fee but it's not cheap tho...
The set has been completely rebuilt and can be seen as it appeared in the films...
I'm not a fan of The Lord of The Ring and I did not watch the movie as well...Lol...But I did watch the latest one The Hobbit and I think the movie was alright...
A group photo of us! =)
This is Bilbo's hobbit hole...
The 'Party Tree' inside the movie...
The Green Dragon Inn...This is the last stop of the tour before we leave that place...
Just for interest sake, The Green Dragon featured in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy as the local meeting place for all the residents of Hobbiton...It was the perfect place to slake their thirst, enjoy a meal and gossip about the comings and goings of The Shire...The inn also makes an appearance in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey...
All the interior scenes for the films were shot in studios in Wellington, but now that same interior has been faithfully recreated at Hobbiton Movie Set...
Now people can walk to The Green Dragon as part of their tour and can step inside this amazing building.
All visitors get to receive a complimentary drink (cider or ginger beer) ^^
Beef pie that is not free...Lol...
It was a nice tour...If you are going here's the website page...
went Tauranga after the tour...It's another town in Nz...I was not feeling well after the trip =( Feeling sick and loss of appetite for the continuos days...
ate only 3 slices of bread for the whole day! T__T
Kevin brought us to the famous FIsh and Chips place...I don't have appetite and I did not order any...Ate Mr.Dar's and it was really good!!! The best Fish and Chips...If only I have appetite! =(
After that they all went for a walk along the beautiful beach and I'm staying in the car ! =(
Had Dim Sum the next day before leaving to Queenstown... =)
Ate not much as well...Why oh why?!?! But the Dim Sum there was really good...Went to self service car wash station to wash our car before returning it...
So cool how I wish Kuching has this thing...Lol...but no one is willing to pay and wash their own car in Malaysia we have Rm10 car wash...lol...But NZ car wash costs a lot that's why people do wash their car themselves...
This thing is really cool tho they have wax and vacuum here too...Of course there's time limit...the more you pay the longer you can wash...lol...
walked back to our hostel and rest after the long and tiring road trip...
Had dinner some where near our hostel...
The food was good but too bad I did not finish my Teriyaki Chicken set! =( Thought that I am feeling a bit better but who knows I still don't have appetite to eat... =( Normally I can finish everything on the table...lol...
Queenstown on Day 8! =)
